At Gloucester Academy we believe that an enjoyable student dining experience has a positive impact on their education. We offer a wide range of home-made traditional, international, and branded products which are nutritionally balanced and compliant with Food Standards Agency guidelines, and wherever possible we source locally produced food from Red Tractor Assured suppliers.
Our Catering Manager is a qualified chef with many years experience in the education catering sector. Tracey and her team focus on producing high standard, home-made meals using good quality ingredients.
We are proud to report that our Catering Team have been awarded five stars, (the highest possible standard to achieve) for the standard of hygiene in the kitchen and for the training of our catering staff.
All students have the option to start the school day with a free breakfast served between 8:00-8:30am. Toast, or a choice of cereal is provided for free. Fruit, yoghurt and fruit juice is also available to purchase.
At morning break students can purchase a variety of snacks including bacon baps, wholemeal pizza, beans on toast, sandwiches and baguettes. Fruit pots yoghurt, fresh fruit and a selection of drinks are also on sale.
Students and staff eat lunch together in our bright, modern Heart Space, and can choose from a selection of hot and cold meals, desserts and drinks. Our four weekly menu cycle changes three times a year, encompassing a wide range of seasonal dishes and produce.
We operate a biometric cashless catering system. Students can add funds to their account via the cash revalidators located in the Heart Space, or through Parent Pay. You are able to monitor what your child has purchased through the Parent Pay system.
